that apostoli was written initially, corrected by the
text scribe to apostolus.
2 DB: This is an instance when
pre- is spelt out. It is notable because of this
scribe’s otherwise frequent use of ‘tailed e’. See the editorial principles for

3 DB: Perhaps the A has been added later by the scribe: it is in the same
simpler form used by the scribe from AD 113 onwards.
4 DB: The beginning of
the annal for AD 69 is written in the line above (Festo
magistratui Iudęe…), continuing onto the next line with auariciam over the line break.
